If a DOI is included in a batch ingest file, the process should fetch whatever additional metadata it can for display in eScholarship, replicating the behavior in the manual upload process.

Yes please! And/or the ability to select a publication (or multiple publications) after they're uploaded and entered and say "go fetch the metainfo please".
