We require that units obtain sufficient rights from authors to allow eScholarship to display and distribute deposited works, in perpetuity. No copyright transfer is required, only permission. Units can create their own language for this purpose, or they can use a basic agreement we provide (attached below) and adapt it as needed.
If authors submit work to a department or unit site using the Submit button on the page, they agree to this language during the submission process.
