eScholarship journals now have an easy way to send metadata about their publications to the Directory of Open Access Journals: the DOAJ Transporter plugin in Janeway.
Once logged into Janeway as an Editor, select Plugins in the Staff section of the sidebar menu, then select DOAJ Transporter.
There is no need to access the Configure screen - all settings have already been set for you.
For each issue of your journal, you can either send the entire issue to DOAJ using the Push to DOAJ button, or you can select View to send individual articles. (We recommend sending all of your complete issues to DOAJ).
Why send article metadata to DOAJ?
DOAJ is a leading indexer of open access journals. Having your journal and its articles fully represented in their index improves the discoverability of your journal and supports its reputation as a reliable publication.
