Long-Term Preservation of eScholarship Content

Modified on Tue, Sep 3 at 2:39 PM

All content contributed to eScholarship is automatically submitted to CDL’s Merritt Digital Preservation Repository for long-term archiving. Content in Merritt is replicated to three distributed storage locations relying on heterogeneous technologies and media. Merritt maintains a copy of each file and associated metadata deposited to eScholarship and, should the file(s) or metadata be updated or changed, both the original and subsequent versions of each are preserved. Merritt is certified as a trustworthy archiving solution by the ISSN's Keepers Registry and CoreTrustSeal.
